If you have been following us for a while, you know that we believe in the proven results of using EFT-Tapping.

What many of you may NOT know is that the Tapping Solution Foundation (the charity side of The Tapping Solution) began as a result of the Sandy Hook school shooting that took place just a little over 5 years ago in Newtown, CT.   They have since then brought the techniques of Tapping to both students and teachers in many other areas of the country.

That is why we selected the Tapping Solution Foundation as the charity for our Functional Oral and Airway Health Summit that aired last September.  We donated a portion of our Summit proceeds to them, specifically for use in their student/teacher stress-reduction Tapping program. Learn more about their program HERE.

There are also moving case studies of “problem” kids who were turned around with Tapping.

On that same page, under ‘Our Projects’, if you click on Tapping for Newtown, you can watch a video that was shot right after the Sandy Hook shooting.  It contains some excellent, immediately actionable, meaningful advice on what people can do to help anyone affected by the Parkland school shooting or any other trauma in their lives.

The work of the Tapping Solution Foundation is immensely important and we are honored to help them help children and teachers who are facing stress in and out of the classroom that we never could have imagined when any of us were in school.

The whole Ortner family (Nick and Jessica, whom you see ‘out front” and their brother Alex and dad, Martin, who are ‘behind the scenes’) are some of the most caring people we have ever known – just really good folks and we commend them for their ongoing, groundbreaking work to help people heal.

The Sandy Hook school shooting affected all of them deeply because they live in Newtown, CT (where the school is located) and Nick and Alex have kids in school there.  After the shooting, they each personally donated $10,000 to the Foundation, enabling them to bring in many trained EFT-Tapping practitioner volunteers to work with survivors, first-responders, teachers and parents, teaching them EFT-Tapping to help them deal with the grief and anger and frustration.  They are still helping families in Newtown to this day.

If you’re a teacher or have a child in school, we hope you’ll take a moment to visit the page above, read about what they are doing and watch the videos. There is also a free Tapping Quick Start for Educators.

EFT-Tapping is not just for addressing dental anxiety, and childhood dental trauma, but for helping with many other issues, including PTSD (there have been a number of studies with veterans who were able to get off medications after working with EFT practitioners).  We both use it daily and it has made a remarkable difference in our lives.
